This is my mother’s tried-and-true steak marinade. Even Michelle has looked at it and wanted some.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds flank steak
- 2 or 3 garlic cloves, mashed
- ground black pepper
- ginger powder
Marinade:
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons red wine
- olive oil
Notes
- Prepare the steak by pressing holes in it with a fork.
- Mash the garlic cloves, then rub all over the steak. Make sure that the garlic stays on.
- Sprinkle the pepper and ginger over it
- Mix up the soy sauce and wine, pour over the seak.
- Drizzle a little bit of olive oil over the steak.
- Turn and let it sit for 30 minutes.
- Grill / pan fry as you please. Comes out best grilled.
