A very tasty Red Velvet Cake.
Ingredients
2 1/2 c. AP flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cocoa powder
1 1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 c. buttermilk at room temp.
2 lrg. eggs at room temp.
1 T. red food coloring
1 tsp. white vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla
cream cheese frosting
Notes
– preheat oven 350 & prep three 9-inch cake plans
– whisk together oil, buttermilk, egges, food coloring and vanilla
– sift in dry ingredients and blend until almost smooth
– add in vinegar until combined
– divide batter evenly between pans and bake approx. 30 minutes

– 16 oz. cream cheese
– 4 c. powdered sugar
– 2 sticks unsalted butter
– 1 tsp. vanilla extract
